CCNA:

What's the decimal equivalent of the hex value Bf8?

Answer: This gives us 11 ("B") units of 256, 15 ("f") units of 16, and eight units of one. That's 2816 + 240 + 8 = 3164.


CCNP / BSCI:

What ISIS hello type do routers use to maintain adjacencies with other routers?

A. ESH

B. IIH

C. ISH

D. ESS

Answer: B. Routers are Intermediate Systems and exchange IS-to-IS Hellos (IIH).


CCNP / BCRAN:

You're created a custom queue list. Which of the following interface-level commands will apply this list to Serial0?

A. service policy out 1

B. queueing interface

C. policy outbound 1

D. custom-queue-list 1

E. ip access-group 1 out

Answer: D.


CCNP / BCMSN:

The port cost for a 100 MBPS port on a new Cisco switch is what?

A. 10

B. 19

C. 1

D. 100

E. 1000

Answer: A. Originally, this cost was 10, but the newest calculations will assign a 100 MBPS port a cost of 19.


CCNP / CIT:

You want to view a Windows PC's ARP table. Which of the following commands should you use?

A. arp -g

B. arp -a

C. arp -d

D. arp

Answers: A, B. You can use either of those commands to look at the ARP table.

-a Displays current ARP entries by interrogating the current
protocol data. If inet_addr is specified, the IP and Physical
addresses for only the specified computer are displayed. If
more than one network interface uses ARP, entries for each ARP
table are displayed.

-g Same as -a.
