Here are the answers to Monday's CCNA and CCNP certification training questions!

CCNA:

Short answer: You want to change EIGRP's default assumption that a serial interface is connected to a T1 line. You want to indicate to EIGRP that the line is actually running at roughly 33% of a T1 line capacity. What command will do this, and where should it be placed?

Answer: Enter the bandwidth 512 command under the serial interface's configuration - NOT the EIGRP configuration.

CCNP / BSCI:

Short answer: In the following configuration, what value is represented by "1544"?

R2(config)#router eigrp 100
R2(config-router)#redistribute ospf 1 metric 1544 100 1 255 1500

Answer: Bandwidth. The order of these metrics in the redistribute command when redistributing routes into EIGRP: bandwidth, delay, reliability, load, mtu.

CCNP / BCMSN:

In a typical Network Management block, what switch layers are represented?

A. Access

B. Distribution

C. Core

Answer: A, B. In addition to network management devices, both Access and Distribution switches will be found here.

CCNP / BCRAN:

Identify the true statements regarding CAP and DMT.

B. CAP has three channels.

C. DMT has three channels.

D. DMT has over 200 channels.

CCNP / CIT:

A. TDR

B. BERT

C. volt-ohm meter

D. cable tester

Answer: B. That's the purpose of a Bit Error Rate Tester (BERT).
