Here are the answers to yesterday's Cisco certification exam practice questions. Keep scrolling down for quite a few more, and I'll have more bonus sets of questions later today!

CCNA Exam:

Identify the true statements regarding infrared wireless connections.

A. Infrared has a high data rate.

B. Infrared has a low data rate.

C. Infrared signals carry for long distances.

D. Infrared signals carry for short distances.

Answers: A, D. Infrared has a high data rate. The tradeoff is that it will carry for very short distances. This short distance transmission does make it more difficult for the data to be intercepted, but infrared does not encrypt the data.

CCNP Certification / BSCI Exam:

A. Path with the highest local preference is preferred.

B. Path with the lowest local preference is preferred.

C. Path with the shortest AS_PATH is preferred.

D. Path with the longest AS_PATH is preferred.

Answer: A. After weight, LOCAL_PREF is the next attribute measured, and the highest value is preferred.

CCNP Certification / BCMSN Exam:

Short answer: How many UDLD frames must a device send with no response before shutting the port down in aggressive mode?

Answer: If a UDLD-enabled port sends eight UDLD frames without a response from the remote device, the local switch will put that port into err-disabled mode.
