Here are the answers!
runt -- This is a frame less than 64 bytes in size, which violates the IEEE 802.3 standard.
giant -- A frame larger than 1518 bytes total, which also violates the IEEE 802.3 standard.
CRC -- The Cyclic Redundancy Check is a type of Frame Check Sequence. The CRC allows the recipient of frames to check their integrity and detect errors (but not correct them).
MTU -- The Maximum Transmission Unit is the largest packet size an interface can handle without the packet being segmented.
See you Saturday with another new practice exam, as we keep working together to beat the Sept 30 deadline!
Chris B.
