In this video, I'll show you the role of an access server in a Cisco CCENT/CCNA/CCNP home lab, and make it clear exactly what an access server is! Even if you're not putting together a home lab right now, I recommend this video for all Cisco certification students. CCNA Security Exam Tutorial: Adding SALT Can Be A Good Thing! When you started studying for your CCNA certification exam, one of the very first things you learned was the major difference between the enable password and the enable secret - the enable secret is encrypted by default, where the enable password is just sitting there in clear text, waiting to be read! When you look at the enable secret in a Cisco router configuration, it looks like it would be impossible to guess. After setting the enable secret on this router to the word security, here's how it appears in the configuration: enable secret 5 $1$24me$gVFxUOI4gYp0IQbhtH8Rz0 That password has been encrypted by MD5, the Message Digest 5 algorithm. The result of the MD5 algorithm being applied to the password is a 32-character hexadecimal value. That password is hard to guess, but not terribly hard to crack. Anyone looking over your shoulder would not be able to come up with that password, but there are readily-available pass...

Nick Allgood - Another Bryant Advantage CCNP Success Story! Nick's email speaks for itself, so I'll shut up and let him talk! "Hello Chris! I finally passed my CCNP after several grueling months of study and lab work. I didn't use your materials for the BSCI or the BCMSN (but I sure wish I did)! I had a friend who didn't do so well on the BSCI and had retaken it a few times. He then told me about your materials and said once he bought your materials he was able to pass with flying colors. When I was ready for my ISCW I bought your study pack and was impressed. The study guides went a bit above the level of the exam in some areas, and thus allowing me to pass with a score in the high 900's. I was so impressed with it that when it came time for my ONT, I bought your ONT study materials and received similar results. One other thing I wanted to note on was your style of writing.. the "Success Coaching" if you will. I REALLY was receptive to this style and...
