And now for the CCNP questions!

BSCI Exam:

Short answer: What are the well-known mandatory BGP attributes?

Answer: AS_PATH, Origin, and Next-Hop.

CEF has two major components. Name and briefly describe them.

Answer: CEF-enabled switches keep a Forwarding Information Base (FIB) that contains the usual routing information - the destination networks, their masks, the next-hop IP addresses, etc - and CEF will use the FIB to make L3 prefix-based decisions.

The FIB takes care of the L3 routing information, but what of the L2 information we need? That's found in the Adjacency Table (AT). As adjacent hosts are discovered via ARP, that next-hop L2 information is kept in this table for CEF switching.

ISCW Exam:

Short answer: Name the three major label exchange information protocols.

LDP, the Label Distribution Protocol

TDP, the Tag Distribution Protocol

RSVP, the Resource Reservation Protocol

ONT Exam:

If the most significant bits of the DSCP are all set to zero, which of the following are you running?

B. Class Selector PHB

D. Default PHB

Answer: D.
