In the meantime, let's take a look at the answers to Friday's Cisco practice exam questions!

Here are the answers to Friday's questions!

CNA And CCENT Certification:

CCNP Certification / BSCI Exam:

What's the basic purpose of the MED in BGP?

Answer: The MED is an optional attribute that comes in handy when there are multiple paths by which a given AS can be entered. The AS sets MED values to tell the other AS which path to use to enter it.

The MED value is passed between the two autonomous systems in question, but the value is not passed to any other ASes. The path with the lowest MED is the preferred path.

CCNP Certification / BCMSN Exam:

When an interface is running dot1x-based authentication, only three protocols can pass through an unauthorized port. Name them.

Answer: CDP, EAPOL, and STP.

CCNP Certification / ISCW Exam & CCNA Security:

When using a TACACS+ server for authentication, there are four possible reply types from that server. Name them.

Answer: Accept, Reject, Continue, Error.

New questions coming up later today!
