CCNA And CCENT Certification:

Identify the false statements below.

A. The native VLAN on a trunk link is VLAN 1.

B. The native VLAN on a trunk link is VLAN 1001.

C. Both ISL and dot1q use native VLANs.

D. Of ISL and dot1q, only ISL uses the native VLAN.

E. Of ISL and dot1q, only dot1q uses the native VLAN.

F. ISL is Cisco-proprietary.

G. Dot1q is Cisco-proprietary.

Answers: B, C, D, G. The native VLAN is indeed VLAN 1, and ISL is the Cisco-proprietary trunking protocol. ISL does not use the native VLAN concept.



CCNP Certification / BSCI Exam:

What OSPF router type(s) generate Type 2 LSAs?

Answer: Type 2 LSAs are generated only by Designated Routers.



CCNP Certification / BCMSN Exam:

What does each "A" in AAA stand for? Describe briefly the job of each "A" as well.

Answer:

Authentication - defines who can come in.

Authorization - defines what they can do when they do come in.

Accounting - tracks what they did when they were in!




CCNP Certification / ISCW Exam & CCNA Security:

The "I" in DAI stands for "Inspection". What's being inspected?
