What are the purposes of the Class D and Class E reserved address ranges?

Answer: Class D addresses are reserved for multicasting; Class E addresses are "reserved for future use".

By default, what part of a configuration defines a router's OSPF Router ID?

Answer: The highest IP address assigned to any loopback interface on the router, regardless of whether that interface is actually running OSPF.



CCNP Certification / BCMSN Exam:

What protocol does BackboneFast use to help the network recover from indirect link failures?

Answer: RLQ, the Root Link Query protocol.



CCNP Certification / ISCW Exam & CCNA Security:

When you use Authentication Proxy, where are the user-based security profiles stored?

Answer: On a RADIUS or TACACS+ server. The profile is downloaded when the user successfully authenticates.
