D. The default encapsulation type does not support PAP or CHAP.

Answers: A, D. High Data-Link Control is the default encapsulation type for a BRI interface, and it doesn't support PAP or CHAP.


Cisco CCENT Certification:

Short answer: Name two networking devices that operate at Layer 1 of the OSI model.

Answer: Hubs and repeaters both work at the Physical layer of the OSI model.


CompTIA Network+ Certification:

Short answer: What networking device is described by the following statement?

"Used to cache web pages and files, allowing a local host to access the page much more quickly than if the host had to get the page from the actual web server."

Answer: That's a description of a proxy server.


CCNP Certification / BSCI Exam:

By default, what percentage of an interface's bandwidth can EIGRP use?

A. 10%

B. 25%

C. 50%

D. 75%

E. 100%

Answer; C. The default is 50%, which can be adjusted with the ip bandwidth-percent eigrp interface command.


CCNP Certification / BCMSN Exam:

In a typical Enterprise Edge block, what switch layers are present?

A. core

B. distribution

C. access

Answers: B, C. Along with the devices needed to get users out to the Internet and WANs, both Access and Distribution switches are found here.
