Here are the answers to Tuesday's Cisco certification practice questions!

CCNA Certification:

Short answer: You have three VLANs on your switch; VLANs 10, 20, and 30. A host in VLAN 30 sends a broadcast. What devices will receive this broadcast?

Answer: Only the other hosts in VLAN 30. Broadcasts do not cross VLANs by default. (No other traffic crosses VLANs by default, either!)

CCNP Certification / BSCI Exam:

Which of the following is NOT an IPV6 header field?

A. version number

B. header length

C. flow label

D. payload length

E. next header

F. fragment offset

Answer: B, F. The following fields have been removed in IPv6 packets: Header Length, Identification, Flags, Fragment Offset, Header Checksum.

CCNP Certification / BCMSN Exam:

Short answer: R3's port fast 0/10 is configured with Root Guard. An inferior BPDU is received on that port. What will happen?

Answer; Nothing. If a superior BPDU were received on that port, though, the port would shut down and go into root-inconsistent state.
