CCNA Certification:

Which of the following protocols uses multicasts to send routing updates and hellos?

Answers: B, C, D. RIPv2 uses 224.0.0.9, OSPF uses 224.0.0.5, and EIGRP uses 224.0.0.10. Both RIPv1 and IGRP broadcast their routing updates.


A+ Certification:

What network topology consists of multiple PCs connected by a single cable?

A. star

B. line

C. bus

D. hub-and-spoke

Answer: C. A bus topology is multiple PCs and one single connecting cable.


Network+ Certification:

Short answer: Name the three RFC 1918 private address ranges, including their masks.

Answer: Class A, 10.0.0.0 255.0.0.0; Class B, 172.16.0.0 255.240.0.0, Class C, 192.168.0.0 255.255.0.0.


CCNP Certification / BSCI Exam:

CCNP Certification / BCMSN Exam:
